Lodging
Tamaron Resort 

Lodge Rooms:  $101 per night (sleeps 6 w/ Kitchenette)  Lodge Lofts:  $127 per night (Sleeps 6 w/ kitchenette)
(quick shuttle to the mountain)

Daily Schedule

Print this and bring it with you so you can know what's up


Friday (all 3 days in same meeting room Elk Point Community Center )

Walk thru the village, toward the six pack lift (every one can tell you where the six pack is), as you face the six pack, look left, you will see a bunch of gorgeous condos, walk towards them (you'll walk under another lift) and the community center will be right in front of you.  Call Julie's Cell if you get lost 970-769-8397.

8:15 - 8:30 AM Meet in Elk Point Community Room with all your gear.
As you face the main 6 pack lift, Elk Point is to your Left

Intros- coaches and students
Stance, bindings, and board check (coaches will make sure everyone's gear is set up properly- it gets us off to slightly slower start this first morning, but much better than attempting it on snow).
9:00 AM Groups head out with Coaches for morning session.
12:30 Meet for Lunch at Hoody's at the Base
Lunch paid by individual
1:30 Head out with Coaches for afternoon session.
4:00 Last lift.
Reconvene in Elk Point Community room.
Post ride stretch, hi-fives, etc.
Post Ride SheRide Specials at the Old School House great on the way stop for local SheRiders on the way back to town.

Saturday

8:15AM - 8:30AM meet in Meet in Elk Point Community Room with all your gear
Assigning of coaches for the morning
Any equipment, heel lift (in boots) issues can be addressed, if you're having equipment issues arrive at 8
9AM Head out and ride
12:30 PowderHouse for lunch -this will be many beginners first time up to the main mountain (yay!) so give a little leeway for tardiness.
1:30 Head out for afternoon
4:00 PM Last lift, reconvene Elk Lodge Room for Video Analysis, post ride stretch, tales of greatness, high fives, etc.

Sunday

8:15AM - 8:30AM meet in Elk Point Community Center
Equipment issues addressed, arrive at 8 if you have gear problems
Coach and class assignment
Same Schedule for the morning
12:30 Lunch at the Powder House
1:15 Group Photo
1:30 All Group Victory Ride! From Powderhouse to Engineer Chair
2 - 4 ride with your individual groups and coaches
4 - Elk Point Community Center Post ride hi-fives, stretch, get your SheRide T-shirts if you haven't already. Round up all your gear cause we're outta here.


Grand Finale Group Dinner with coaches and SheRiders, sponsored by SheRide. Feasting, toasting, and much celebration! Raffle of cool stuff and, fun, fun, fun!! Plan on attending this event so we can celebrate the special time we've spent together, and of course, to win free stuff. All proceeds from the raffle go to SOS.

If you are a first or second timer please ask for the Burton Learn to Ride Board . Call in advance to reserve.

Stuff to Have with You:

•  Waterproof pants
•  Waterproof Jacket
•  Waterproof mittens or gloves
•  Goggles
•  Sun glasses
•  Long underwear tops and bottoms
•  Hat or Helmet (Helmet is the smart choice!)
•  Snowboard boots, board, and bindings that you like
(if you don't have equipment- rentals available- details above)
•  For Beginners: A "crash pad" for the bottom is great, and also wrist guards like those used for roller blading.


 
Note on the weather: Durango is often sunny and warm, but this is the Rockies so be prepared for hot or cold riding! You'll be able to leave extra stuff in the Elk Creek Community Room every day so make sure you've got enough warm stuff!
